Music mogul Sean Combs is set to go on trial for racketeering and sex trafficking on 5 May 2025, a judge said in a court hearing 10 October 2024. The rapper known as "Diddy" will remain incarcerated, said federal judge Arun Subramanian, after he was indicted last month on three criminal counts that allege he sexually abused women and coerced them into drug-fueled sex parties using threats and violence. In Dallas, music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been accused of sexual assault by six individuals, including a minor, in a series of new lawsuits. These allegations have resulted in fresh legal challenges for Combs, who has faced similar accusations in the past, but predominantly in civil cases involving adults. On Monday, several lawsuits were filed, this time asserting criminal behavior involving a minor.

The lawsuits were filed in the U.S. District Court in Manhattan. They include serious accusations such as rape, forced oral sex, and drugging victims to incapacitate them. Attorney Tony Buzbee, who is representing the plaintiffs, describes the allegations as a series of violent and abusive acts. The claims span multiple incidents involving both men and women.

Sean Combs, known for his influence in the music industry, has been previously embroiled in legal battles concerning sexual misconduct. Until these recent cases, all past allegations against him had been civil, and they involved adults. Combs has consistently denied all allegations. His legal team is preparing to defend against these claims, maintaining that he looks forward to proving his innocence in court.

The minor involved in the new allegations is reportedly a male, with the incident allegedly occurring several years ago. Details about the circumstances of the alleged assault have not yet been fully disclosed in public filings. The new allegations intensify the legal scrutiny on Combs, who had already been facing a criminal indictment for alleged sexual activity with adults. This indictment, alongside the recent lawsuits, puts Combs in a complex legal situation as he confronts both civil and criminal proceedings.

Beyond the lawsuits, Combs’ public image and business interests could face challenges. The music mogul, who has amassed significant wealth and influence, now faces a wave of accusations that could impact his standing in the industry. These legal troubles come at a time when the entertainment world increasingly emphasizes accountability and protection against misconduct.

Combs’ legal representatives have issued statements denying the allegations, emphasizing the need for due process. They assert that Combs is committed to defending himself rigorously and clearing his name. His defense team contends that these accusations are part of a broader attempt to tarnish his reputation and exploit his status.

The ongoing legal proceedings are expected to draw significant media attention. The unfolding case poses questions about the responsibilities and conduct of public figures. Additionally, it highlights the broader societal issue of addressing and preventing sexual misconduct.
