TAGUIG CITY — A dispute among the children of the late National Artist Nora Aunor surfaced on Thursday, April 16, as relatives issued separate statements regarding the administration of her estate on the first anniversary of her death.

The conflict involved siblings Ian de Leon and Lotlot de Leon, who released differing positions on estate matters and participation in foundation-related initiatives connected to the late actress.

Lotlot de Leon, through her legal counsel, said she was not involved in or consulted on the establishment of a One Person Corporation reportedly linked to estate management and foundation work for Nora Aunor’s legacy. Her lawyer also said she was not seeking inheritance and was not participating in administrative actions involving the estate.

The statement said Lotlot rejected claims that she was included in ongoing estate-related initiatives and said she had no involvement in planning or fundraising efforts connected to the corporations mentioned.

Ian de Leon previously said he was the sole legal heir of Nora Aunor and indicated that his siblings remained included in broader plans related to their mother’s estate. His statement prompted questions among family members regarding estate administration.

Lotlot’s legal counsel said she was not consulted about those plans and said there was no known last will and testament granting sole administration of the estate to any individual.

The lawyer said Lotlot had stepped away from estate-related activities and had established separate charitable initiatives with her siblings, which Ian was aware of, according to the statement.

The counsel also said communication between Ian and Lotlot had stopped and that Lotlot chose to remain silent earlier to avoid public conflict during mourning.

Ian de Leon has not issued a public response to Lotlot’s statement.

Nora Aunor died of acute respiratory failure on April 16, 2025, and was buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City following a state funeral.
