A rideshare driver in Fort Worth, Texas, was shot three times by a passenger on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. The incident took place near the 8100 block of Cassie Lane. The driver, working for Lyft, safely transported his passenger to the intended location prior to the shooting. According to authorities, the driver suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect, who fled the scene after the shooting, is currently at large. Fort Worth police have launched an active investigation into the incident. Law enforcement officials urge anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward as they continue to gather evidence and piece together the events that led to the shooting.
