MANILA, Philippines– President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday expressed condolences to the American people and President Donald Trump following devastating flash floods in Texas, United States.

The floods have resulted in at least 120 deaths, affecting six counties. Marcos conveyed his sympathies through a message posted on his social media accounts.

He extended condolences on behalf of the Filipino people. The Texas floods have caused significant damage and loss of life, with efforts ongoing to locate missing persons.

The state’s rescue teams continue to search for those affected by the severe weather conditions. The severe flooding followed intense rainfall over several days.

Authorities are assessing the full extent of the damage from the disaster. President Marcos’s message highlighted the solidarity and support of the Philippines for those affected by the tragedy.

The Texas state government has declared a state of emergency in the affected areas. Volunteers and organizations are also actively participating in relief efforts. The floods mark one of the worst natural disasters to hit Texas in recent years.

The public is urged to stay informed and follow safety guidelines issued by officials. Weather forecasts indicate a potential for continued adverse conditions in some regions.
