LOS ANGELES — Liza Soberano had a memorable experience presenting at the 53rd Annie Awards, sharing behind-the-scenes moments with “KPop Demon Hunters” star Arden Cho and the filmmakers of the upcoming animated film “Forgotten Islands,” Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado.
Soberano, who is now based in the U.S., posted photos on Instagram highlighting her time at the ceremony and thanking her glam team for making her feel like a princess. She also expressed gratitude to the “Forgotten Islands” team for making the experience fun and for assisting with her train.
The Filipino-American star co-presented the Outstanding Achievement in Directing award alongside Crawford and Mercado. She is part of the cast of “Forgotten Islands,” which features Lea Salonga, Manny Jacinto, Dave Franco, Jenny Slate, and Filipino-American singer H.E.R..
