MANILA, Philippines — Kim Chiu marked her 36th birthday on April 21 by distributing free gasoline, meals, and grocery packs to about 600 jeepney and tricycle drivers, using proceeds from her recent closet sale.
Chiu shared photos of the initiative on Instagram, where she said the donations came from funds raised through her #KimChiuClosetBazaar. She thanked supporters who contributed to the sale, saying the activity enabled her to provide assistance to transport workers.
She also acknowledged the group Buena Pamilya for helping organize and carry out the distribution.
Chiu held the closet sale in January and said at the time that the proceeds would go to charity, although she did not initially disclose the beneficiaries.
The actress has participated in several charitable efforts. In 2025, she purchased construction materials for families affected by a 6.9-magnitude earthquake in Cebu.
Chiu is currently starring in the television series The Alibi alongside Paulo Avelino, which is airing on free television following its earlier digital release.
