MANILA — Actress Iwa Moto and businessman Pampi Lacson announced their engagement Thursday after Lacson proposed during a trip to Osaka, Japan.
The couple shared videos of the proposal on their Instagram accounts. Moto posted a video showing her wearing a diamond engagement ring and dedicated a message to Lacson, saying they have been together for nearly 14 years and she looks forward to marrying him. Lacson also posted clips from their trip, writing that their love story is his favorite.
The announcement drew congratulatory messages from family and friends, including actress Jodi Sta. Maria, Lacson’s former wife. Moto revealed that Sta. Maria was among the first people they informed of the engagement and that the families maintain a good blended-family relationship.
Moto and Lacson have two children together, Hiromi Eve and Caleb Jiro. Lacson’s annulment from Sta. Maria was finalized in June 2024.
