MANILA — Filipino tennis player Alex Eala is gearing up for her clay-court season with appearances at the Stuttgart Open from April 13–19 and the Madrid Open from April 21 to May 3. Currently ranked World No. 45, Eala is entered as a qualifier for Stuttgart.
She begins her European clay swing at the Linz Open from April 6–12, which will feature top players including Emma Raducanu, Clara Tauson, Jelena Ostapenko, and defending champion Ekaterina Alexandrova.
Last season at the Madrid Open, Eala fell to Iga Swiatek in a tight three-set second-round match. She recently wrapped up her Sunshine Swing in the United States, reaching the Round of 16 at both the Indian Wells and Miami Open tournaments.
