The Philippine Consulate General successfully wrapped up a two-day consular outreach in Jackson, Mississippi, providing services to 175 Filipinos and Filipino Americans.

This marked the Consulate’s first outreach of 2026 and its first visit to the state since 2022, highlighting its commitment to serving underserved Filipino communities.

Consul General Gunther Sales personally administered the oath to the first batch of applicants reclaiming Philippine citizenship under RA 9225. The mission was supported by the Filipino American Cultural Society of Central Mississippi, whose hospitality helped ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

The Consulate expressed its intention to continue bringing essential consular services closer to Filipino communities in the months ahead.
