SEOUL — Global K-pop group BTS released its first live album titled Permission to Dance on Friday, marking the band’s return to music following the completion of mandatory military service by all seven members.
The album features live recordings from BTS’s Permission to Dance concert series, which took place in major cities worldwide before the group paused activities for military obligations.
Big Hit Entertainment, BTS’s management agency, announced the album release last month, with pre-orders opening shortly after. The album includes live versions of the group’s hit tracks such as Butter, Dynamite, and Permission to Dance, showcasing the energy and atmosphere of their live shows.
BTS confirmed that additional music projects are in development, with plans to resume full musical activities following this release. Management also announced upcoming promotional events to support the album.
Permission to Dance represents a new chapter for the group as they re-enter the spotlight post-hiatus.
