President Donald Trump underwent a routine annual medical checkup at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, about six months after his last physical examination in office.
Dr. Sean Conley, the president’s physician, released a statement confirming that Trump “continues to demonstrate excellent overall health.”
The White House did not specify what procedures or tests were performed during the visit, stating only that it formed part of the president’s regular health assessment.
The president spent several hours at Walter Reed in Bethesda, Maryland, before returning to his official duties. The visit was not listed on his public schedule, prompting some speculation. Officials reiterated that the appointment was prearranged and consistent with standard medical protocols for sitting presidents.
Trump’s previous full physical examination took place earlier this year, with doctors reporting no significant health concerns. Regular checkups allow physicians to monitor vital health indicators, including blood pressure, weight, and cholesterol levels.
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center continues to serve as the primary facility for presidential healthcare, providing routine monitoring to ensure fitness for office. Following the examination, President Trump resumed his normal schedule without interruption.
