MANILA, Philippines — Businessman Vincent Co attended a grocery convention in Pasay City on Wednesday, May 14, amid speculation that he and actress Bea Alonzo were scheduled to marry in Spain on the same day.
Photos posted on Facebook by Ceasar Vallejos showed Co attending the opening day of a three-day supermarket convention at the World Trade Center in Pasay City with his father, retail businessman Lucio Co.
The event runs from May 14 to May 16 and featured appearances from celebrities including Kathryn Bernardo, Shuvee Etrata, Kyline Alcantara and Angeline Quinto on the convention’s first day.
Co’s public appearance came after a source told Inquirer Entertainment that he would remain in the Philippines for a business engagement while Alonzo was in Spain with her family on the day of their supposed wedding.
The same source disputed reports circulating on social media claiming the wedding had only been postponed and would proceed at a later date.
Earlier, another source told Inquirer Entertainment that disagreements involving the couple’s prenuptial agreement led to the cancellation of the wedding plans.
Reports also said more than 125 guests had been invited to the supposed ceremony in Europe.
As of writing, neither Alonzo nor Co has publicly commented on the status of their relationship or wedding plans.
