LOS ANGELES — Director Matt Reeves confirmed Friday that Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan have joined the cast of The Batman Part II alongside Robert Pattinson.

Reeves announced the additions through separate posts on X featuring GIFs of the actors. He did not reveal details about their roles in the film.

Actors Charles Dance, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry also joined the cast.

Pattinson will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman following the release of The Batman, which earned more than $770 million worldwide.

Returning cast members include Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb, also known as Penguin.

Johansson previously portrayed Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in films including Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Avengers: Endgame, and Black Widow.

Stan is known for portraying Bucky Barnes, also called the Winter Soldier, in Marvel productions including Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Infinity War, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The Batman Part II is scheduled for theatrical release on Oct. 1, 2027. Reeves co-wrote the screenplay with Mattson Tomlin.
