MANILA, Philippines — Actor Baron Geisler assured fans Thursday that he is well and safe, saying he is spending time with his family and preparing to return to work on a new film.
“See you all soon,” Geisler said in a video posted on Instagram on Oct. 1. He also revealed that he will soon shoot a film but did not disclose the project or his co-star.
Geisler also laughed off what he described as “false news” without identifying the reports he meant.
In the video, Geisler said he was grateful to spend time with his children and thanked those who had expressed concern.
“Yes, I am well and I am able, and I am so grateful na kasama ko ang mga anak ko,” he said.
“I want you to know that I’m well and I’m safe. I’m home and with my family,” he added. “God is good and soon I’ll be very busy again.”
Geisler did not mention his wife, Jamie Evangelista, although he appeared to call out to someone named “Jam” at the start of the video. It was not immediately clear whether he referred to Evangelista.
Evangelista previously told showbiz columnist Dolly Anne Carvajal that Geisler was “recovering in a treatment facility” and receiving professional care.
The couple previously drew attention amid reports about difficulties in their marriage. The reports followed Evangelista’s call for Geisler to seek drug rehabilitation and a separate cryptic post about a female assistant who allegedly shared a bed with her employer.
Geisler and Evangelista also previously unfollowed each other on Instagram.
As of Oct. 2, Geisler had followed Evangelista again, while Evangelista had not followed him back.
