Spurs extend streak to 8 behind Wembanyama; Kings skid hits 16

AUSTIN, Texas — Victor Wembanyama scored 28 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Sacramento Kings 139-122 on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, in an NBA game in Austin, Texas, extending their winning streak to eight games and completing a two-game sweep in the city.

Wembanyama added six assists and four blocks. De’Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle and Keldon Johnson each scored 18 points for San Antonio.

Sacramento lost its franchise-record 16th straight game. The Kings played without center Domantas Sabonis and guard Zach LaVine, who both underwent season-ending surgery.

Keegan Murray and DeMar DeRozan each scored 20 points to lead Sacramento. Malik Monk added 19 points. Rookie Maxime Raynaud finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds, including seven offensive boards.

San Antonio opened the game with 11 straight points. Wembanyama recorded three blocks in the first 90 seconds.

Sacramento cut the deficit to one point with less than five minutes left in the third quarter.

Wembanyama made a 3-pointer and assisted on another by Harrison Barnes in the final minute of the third, giving the Spurs a 105-94 lead entering the fourth quarter.

Fox and Wembanyama scored to start the fourth and capped a 12-0 run as San Antonio extended its lead to 28 points.
