NEW YORK — Reports claiming that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will marry at Madison Square Garden on July 3 remain unconfirmed, despite heightened public speculation and increased security preparations around the venue.

An unnamed law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told The Associated Press that security plans had been prepared for wedding-related events scheduled for July 2 and July 3. However, neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed any wedding plans.

Representatives for Swift did not respond to requests for comment from The Associated Press. City officials also declined to confirm the reported event but acknowledged preparations for an unspecified gathering at Madison Square Garden.

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani said the city was prepared for the weekend but did not provide details. Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the New York Police Department would deploy personnel for an event at Madison Square Garden on Friday but did not elaborate.

Speculation about the couple’s wedding has intensified following unconfirmed reports that they planned to marry over the Independence Day weekend. Crews have recently been seen unloading equipment outside the arena, although officials have not linked the activity to the couple.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on social media in August 2025, prompting widespread speculation about their wedding plans. As of Wednesday, no official announcement confirming the date, location or details of a ceremony had been released.
