Actress Solenn Heussaff revealed on a recent talk show that she and husband Nico Bolzico will not allow their daughters to use gadgets until they turn 18.
During her guest appearance on GMA’s Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Heussaff said their daughters, Maelys, 3, and Thylane, 6, currently do not have tablets, smartphones, or personal electronic devices. She added that Tili does not even know what Instagram is.
Heussaff explained that the decision stems from concerns about society’s overreliance on technology. The couple encourages their children to spend time on offline activities, including play and other interactive learning, instead of screen-based entertainment.
She noted that simpler communication tools, like pagers, might be allowed in the future, but personal devices such as mobile phones will likely be introduced only around ages 18 or 19.
