SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The San Antonio Food Bank will provide emergency food assistance on Saturday, July 20, at two locations to support individuals impacted by recent flooding in Kerr and Tom Green counties, officials announced.
The nonprofit organization has activated its disaster relief efforts to distribute essential supplies including food, water, hygiene kits, and cleaning materials.
“We are here to serve our neighbors in crisis,” the San Antonio Food Bank stated in a public advisory. “We encourage anyone affected by the floods to visit one of the designated sites and receive the assistance they need.”
The exact addresses of the two aid distribution sites have not yet been publicly disclosed but will be open to all flood victims seeking help.
The organization is also calling on the public to support its efforts through donations and volunteer work. Monetary donations help the food bank allocate resources where they are needed most, while volunteers assist in the packing and distribution of relief goods.
“Our ability to respond quickly and effectively depends on the generosity and involvement of the community,” the food bank said.
The relief program will continue in the coming days as the organization assesses ongoing needs in affected areas. Residents in need or those seeking to help are encouraged to visit the San Antonio Food Bank’s website for more information.
