MANILA — Robi Domingo and his wife, Maiqui Pineda, announced Tuesday that they are expecting their first child.
The couple shared the news on Instagram on Jan. 6, calling the pregnancy their “greatest blessing” and marking their second wedding anniversary. Their post included a reel showing the reactions of friends and family as well as a clip from Sept. 29, 2025, when they first learned of the pregnancy.
Domingo and Pineda married in January 2024 after getting engaged in 2022. The announcement comes while Pineda is managing dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness, inflammation, and skin rash.
In 2024, Domingo faced criticism for publicly expressing a desire to have children amid his wife’s health challenges. Pineda later defended him, saying building a family was a shared goal guided by their faith.
