MANILA, Philippines- Actor Rey “PJ” Abellana said on Monday in Quezon City that he was not invited to the wedding of his daughter, actress Carla Abellana, which took place over the weekend in the Philippines.
He said he learned about the wedding only through media reports and social media posts and did not receive a formal invitation from his daughter or the groom’s family.
Abellana said he chose not to go to the venue to avoid causing any disruption and stayed home on the day of the ceremony.
He said he did not discuss the wedding arrangements with his daughter beforehand and remains unsure why he was not included in the guest list.
He added that he learned details about the wedding only after it had concluded.
Abellana confirmed that other family members attended the ceremony and appeared in photos and videos shared online.
