Philippine Consulate General Celebrates Local Filipino Leaders

The Philippine Consulate General in Houston, represented by Vice Consul Tanya Gaurano, joined officers and members of the Philippine-American Chamber of Commerce – Texas (PACCTX) in celebrating the achievements of outstanding professionals, businesses, and entrepreneurs in the Greater Houston Region at an Awards Night organized by PACCTX regional head Margarita Truong.

In her remarks, Vice Consul Gaurano highlighted the Consulate’s commitment to help create and strengthen partnerships between the Philippines and Texas to facilitate investments and trade as well as to enhance the significant presence and role of the Filipino community in Texas.

She assured the Chamber of the Consulate’s continued backing as the organization advances its mission of supporting Filipino-owned businesses and Filipino-led endeavors.

In his keynote address, Houston City Controller, Chris Hollins, commended the strong presence and valuable contributions of the Chamber in the economic development of the city.
