Philippine Consulate General Invites Public to Free Screening of Multi-Awarded Filipino Film

Houston, Texas – The Philippine Consulate General in Houston invites the public to a special screening of the acclaimed Filipino film Sakaling Hindi Makarating (The Amazing Journey of the Letters) on 26 Jan. at 5:30 PM at the historic River Oaks Theatre in Houston.

Starring Alessandra de Rossi and Pepe Herrera, the film is a multi-awarded production that won Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Cinematography at the 2nd CineFilipino Film Festival. The film is celebrated not only for its compelling storytelling but also for its breathtaking cinematography, showcasing some of the Philippines’ most beautiful destinations, including Batanes, Siquijor, and Zamboanga.

The screening will also mark the official launch of the 2026 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour, a program that highlights Philippine culture, heritage, and tourism.
