Denver forced extra time when Jokic scored in the final minute and the team secured a defensive stop on Houston’s last possession. In overtime, Murray hit a three-pointer and Jokic converted free throws to seal the win.
The Nuggets improved their home record and maintained a top spot in the Western Conference, while Houston remained in contention despite the loss. The victory also gives Denver the tiebreaker over Houston in head-to-head scenarios.
