MANILA, Philippines– Miss Universe Philippines 2025 aspirants are drawing inspiration from reigning queen Chelsea Manalo’s success as they compete in the pageant.
The competition, taking place this year, features several seasoned candidates with international titles and experience.
Lesser-known participants look up to Manalo’s story as she was considered an underdog in the previous year’s contest.
Chelsea Manalo had previously participated in the Miss World Philippines pageant seven years ago, where she reached the semifinals.
Despite competing against international runners-up like Ahtisa Manalo and Christi McGarry, and global winners Alexandra Rosales and Cyrille Payumo, Manalo’s victory last year has become a beacon of hope for less experienced participants.
