LOS ANGELES — Emily in Paris will conclude with its upcoming sixth season, with star Lily Collins announcing the end of the series as production began in Greece.

Netflix confirmed the news on Thursday, May 21, through a farewell video message from Collins addressed to fans of the romantic comedy-drama series.

In the video, Collins said the sixth season would serve as the “final chapter” of Emily Cooper’s story.

“After six incredible years of playing Emily Cooper, I’m here to share that the upcoming sixth season will be our final,” Collins said.

She added that she looked forward to celebrating the show’s final season with viewers.

Production for the sixth season is currently underway in Greece and is also expected to include scenes in Monaco before returning to Paris, the series’ main setting.

Since premiering on Netflix in 2020, “Emily in Paris” has become one of the platform’s most-watched comedy series.

The show follows Emily Cooper, an American marketing executive working and living in France.

The series also stars Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu and Lucien Laviscount.

Netflix has not announced a release date for the final season.
