MANILA, Philippines — Kris Aquino announced on Monday, January 26, that she is planning a return to the spotlight through video podcasts, following a minor operation as part of her treatment for autoimmune diseases.
In an Instagram post, Aquino invited followers to watch and subscribe to her upcoming podcast, which may include a partial tour of her home. She said she missed conducting interviews and plans to follow safety protocols while taping.
Aquino also reflected on the life of her late mother, former president Corazon C. Aquino, who would have turned 93 on January 25, noting that her mother never publicly shared her battle with colon cancer. She said she plans to share glimpses of her life but will withhold detailed medical information until her full recovery.
The media personality thanked friends and colleagues, including actor-turned-senator Robin Padilla, actress Erich Gonzales, and celebrity makeup artist RB Chanco, for visiting her in the hospital. She added that she is healing from a wound and will move into her “semi-permanent residence” once it fully recovers.
Aquino, who has been diagnosed with 11 autoimmune diseases, previously postponed the operation due to elevated blood pressure. She is known for her past hosting roles, talk shows, and endorsement work in the Philippines.
