MANILA, Philippines — Television host and actress Kris Aquino posted a message on Sunday marking the 19th birthday of her son, James Carlos Aquino Yap Jr., and shared a photo showing him with a young woman whose identity was partially obscured.
Aquino published the post on Instagram on April 19, in which she referred to her son’s birthday greeting and included a music clip from Justin Bieber’s song “One Less Lonely Girl.”
In the same post, Aquino referenced her son’s relationship status and said she hoped the woman he was seen with would become his first girlfriend and, in the future, possibly his life partner.
Aquino also said she planned to send gifts, including flowers, balloons, food, and clothing items, to the young woman.
She said her son had taken on responsibilities in caring for her and added that she wanted him to focus on his personal growth and career choices.
Aquino has previously posted updates about her health and family life on social media.
She also said she is working on a return project with actor Dingdong Dantes, though she did not provide additional details.
