LOS ANGELES — Korean-American actress Arden Cho married orthopedic surgeon Christopher Lee in Florence, Italy, during the weekend of June 27, according to a report published by Vogue on July 1.
The wedding took place at Villa Cora, where the couple incorporated South Korean traditions into the celebration, including wearing hanbok, or traditional Korean attire.
The festivities began with a welcome party on June 26, during which guests wore hanbok. The couple also held a traditional Korean pyebaek ceremony to honor Lee’s parents and receive blessings for their marriage.
In an Instagram post on July 2, Cho said she wanted to welcome guests with a celebration centered on Korean culture.
“Ever since we started planning, I dreamed of welcoming everyone to Italy with a hanbok celebration,” Cho wrote.
Cho told Vogue that the couple encountered travel issues before the wedding after their airline misplaced four checked bags, including Lee’s tuxedo, their hanbok and clothing for the pyebaek ceremony.
“Our airline misplaced all four of our checked bags on the way to Florence,” Cho told the magazine, adding that the luggage arrived before the ceremony with assistance from Villa Cora.
Cho also said Lee’s family experienced flight delays and a cancellation, prompting the couple to move the ceremony to midnight after the family arrived safely.
Cho and Lee, who live in Los Angeles, met through a dating app in their late 30s. Lee proposed to Cho in Maui in March 2025.
Cho gained recognition for portraying Kira Yukimura in MTV’s Teen Wolf from 2013 to 2016. She recently voiced Rumi, the leader of the fictional K-pop group Huntrix, in Netflix’s animated film KPop Demon Hunters.
According to the report, Korean-American singer Ejae, who performed Rumi’s singing voice in the film, is scheduled to marry former music producer Sam Kim in November.
