MANILA, Philippines — Kai Sotto saw action for Gilas Pilipinas in an 81-76 victory over Korean Basketball League club Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus in a tune-up game ahead of the fourth window of the Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

Social media video clips showed Sotto playing a significant role in the exhibition at the San Miguel Corporation Sports Complex along C-5 Road in Pasig City.

Sotto rejoined Gilas ahead of its two home games against Jordan on Aug. 28 and Iran on Aug. 30, both at the Mall of Asia Arena.

CJ Perez also played in the exhibition after missing the third qualifying window last month.

Ulsan has been in the Philippines for two weeks and has used the visit to play several tune-up games against local teams. The Phoebus faced UAAP squads Adamson University and Far Eastern University, William Jones Cup participant Strong Group Athletics, PBA team Titan Ultra and MPBL champion Abra Weavers.

Ulsan also added former University of the Philippines guard Gerry Abadiano to its lineup.

Gilas remains without Justin Brownlee, who is still in the United States while recovering from hamstring and leg injuries.

Brownlee is expected to return for the fourth qualifying window once he completes his recovery.

Gilas will host Jordan on Aug. 28 before facing Iran two days later as the Philippines continues its campaign in the Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
