SEOUL, South Korea — Jessica Jung, formerly of Girls’ Generation, returned to the South Korean stage for the first time in about 12 years when she performed alongside comedian Park Myung-soo at the 2026 Infinite Challenge Run in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province.
Jung and Park performed their 2009 hit “Naengmyeon” at the event Saturday, Sept. 19, reviving the duo they formed during the variety show “Infinite Challenge.”
Jung shared photos from the performance on social media Sunday.
“‘Naengmyeon,’ it’s been a while,” she wrote in the caption.
The performance marked the first time Jung and Park had performed the song together in about 17 years. They originally released “Naengmyeon” as the duo Myung-ca Drive during their appearance on “Infinite Challenge” in 2009.
Jung’s appearance also marked her return to a local Korean stage after she left Girls’ Generation and SM Entertainment in 2014.
Reports have previously claimed that Jung faced restrictions on performing in South Korea following her departure from the group, although she has continued her music career overseas.
Jung has remained active as a solo artist, particularly in China, where she has continued to perform and promote her music.
