Jerald Into receives ‘Boxer of the Month’ award from GAB

MANILA, Philippines — The Games and Amusements Board (GAB) has named Jerald “Truman” Into as the Boxer of the Month for April, following his notable victory in the World Boxing Council (WBC) Grand Prix.

Into, 25, secured the honor after defeating American boxer Ahmad Muhammad Jones in the Round of 32 of the tournament held on April 18 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The bout concluded with a unanimous decision, with judges scoring the fight 59-55, 58-56, and 58-56 in favor of the Filipino fighter.

Hailing from General Santos City, Into competes in the super lightweight division under the Sanman Boxing promotion. His latest victory adds to his unblemished professional record and strengthens his status as one of the Philippines’ rising talents in the sport.

GAB recognized Into’s performance for showcasing skill, discipline, and potential on an international stage.
