MANILA — Heart Evangelista and John Prats are bringing their popular love team back to the big screen more than two decades after their last film together.
The former couple announced their reunion project during a media conference on Friday, Sept. 18. Prats will direct the movie, which producers plan to release in February 2027.
Sparkle GMA and Cornerstone Studios, which shared moments from the event on social media, announced the project with the caption, “JoHeart comeback is real!”
The production has yet to reveal the movie’s title.
Angel Tomas wrote the screenplay, while Jeffrey Vadillo of Cornerstone Studios serves as executive producer. Irene Villamor serves as creative producer.
Evangelista also teased the project on her Instagram account.
The upcoming movie marks the latest collaboration between Evangelista and Prats after they reunited earlier this year.
The pair appeared together in an episode of Evangelista’s reality show, “Heart World,” season 2, in March. They later worked together on several social media projects and portrayed former lovers in the music video for TJ Monterde’s song “Teka Lang.”
Evangelista and Prats first became a love team through the youth-oriented television series “G-mik.”
They later starred together in films including “My First Romance” and “Tanging Ina,” both released in 2003. “Tanging Ina” marked their last movie project together before their upcoming reunion.
