Gong Yoo excited to meet Filipino fans at first PH fan meeting

MANILA, Philippines — Korean actor Gong Yoo expressed excitement about meeting his Filipino supporters in person as he prepares for his first fan meeting in the Philippines on Nov. 21.

Gong Yoo shared his message through a video posted Tuesday, Sept. 15, from concert production company Pulp Live World.

“To my fans in the Philippines, I sincerely thank you for loving my dramas and movies and for your unwavering support. I’m truly delighted to finally have this special opportunity to meet you in person and repay that love,” he said in Korean.

The actor also looked forward to meeting fans at the Araneta Coliseum.

“I’m already very excited to meet you all at my fan meeting at Araneta Coliseum on Nov. 21. I sincerely hope to create precious memories with all of you,” he said.

Gong Yoo ended his message with a Filipino phrase that delighted fans: “Magkikita na tayo.”

Gong Yoo takes fan meeting tour across Asia

The Manila event forms part of Gong Yoo’s first Asia fan meeting tour, “The Long Take.”

The tour will open in Yokohama, Japan, on Oct. 4, followed by Bangkok on Oct. 10, Jakarta on Oct. 17 and Macau on Nov. 7.

After the Manila stop on Nov. 21, Gong Yoo will conclude the tour in Seoul on Nov. 28.

Gong Yoo gained international recognition through dramas and films including “Coffee Prince,” “Goblin” and “Train to Busan.”
