AUSTIN, Texas– The City of Austin is treating Lady Bird Lake for blue-green algae, also known as cyanobacteria, due to health concerns.
In previous years, several dogs died after exposure to the algae.
To address this, officials have implemented measures to reduce the presence of cyanobacteria in the lake. These treatments have caused increased cloudiness in the water.
