MANILA, Philippines — Actress Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, did not attend the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on July 3, according to entertainment reports, fueling speculation about the status of Lively’s friendship with the singer.
Entertainment outlet TMZ reported that Lively and Reynolds were in Lake Placid, New York, on the day of the wedding, where they were supporting their daughter, Betty, during a horse show.
The reported absence comes after Swift became linked to Lively’s legal dispute with Justin Baldoni, her co-star and director in It Ends With Us.
Lively filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment. Baldoni later filed a countersuit against Lively and Reynolds, alleging defamation and extortion. Court filings in the case included text message exchanges between Swift and Lively discussing Baldoni, as well as messages in which Lively compared herself to the fictional character Khaleesi from Game of Thrones and referred to Swift as one of her “dragons.” The legal dispute has since been settled.
One of the pair’s last public appearances together was at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas in 2024, where they watched Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Despite Lively and Reynolds’ absence, entertainment outlet E! News reported that the wedding drew a large number of celebrity guests, including Tom Hanks, Jennifer Lopez, Paul McCartney, Ed Sheeran, Emma Stone, Selena Gomez, Patrick Mahomes and Steven Spielberg, among others.
