CANNES, France — South Korean singer and actress Jisoo received the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award at the 2026 Cannes International Series Festival on Thursday, recognizing her emerging work in acting.

The award was presented during the festival’s ninth edition, which is being held in Cannes and runs through April 28. Organizers said the honor is given to rising performers recognized for their growing influence and potential in the entertainment industry.

Festival officials cited Jisoo’s work across music and acting, saying she continues to expand her screen presence while taking on diverse roles.

Jisoo attended the ceremony in person, appearing on the pink carpet before greeting fans, signing autographs, and accepting the award on stage.

In her acceptance speech, she thanked the festival, the award organizers, her group members, and fans for their support.

The recognition follows her recent acting role in the Netflix series “Boyfriend on Demand,” which premiered in March 2026. In the series, she portrays a webtoon producer navigating work challenges and a virtual dating service.
