MANILA, Philippines — Bimby Aquino said he will donate half of his first salary as an adult to the church and use part of the remaining amount to treat his mother, Kris Aquino, after receiving his first paycheck.

A fan page uploaded a video on Saturday, July 4, showing the young television personality lining up to claim his salary, signing the payroll and receiving his pay in cash.

“I’m claiming my first adult sweldo,” Bimby said in the video.

Asked who he planned to treat with his first earnings, Bimby replied, “My mom, of course.”

He said he and his mother had agreed to donate half of his first paycheck to the church.

“Ang promise ni mama, to our priest, Father Jun, or sa Bishop now ata. So we’re going to donate half of it muna,” he said.

Bimby also expressed surprise after discovering that he received his salary in cash.

“Wow, it’s cash. I like cash!” he said.

Bimby recently appeared as a guest host on the noontime television program Eat Bulaga, where viewers noted his hosting skills and on-screen partnership with Ryzza Mae Dizon.

The pair previously starred in the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival entry My Little Bossings, which featured Kris Aquino and Vic Sotto.

Last month, Kris Aquino, who has been undergoing treatment for autoimmune diseases, made a rare public appearance when she visited the Eat Bulaga set to support her son.
