MANILA, Philippines — Actress Bea Alonzo shared photos on social media a week after marrying businessman Vincent Co, giving followers a glimpse of her wedding rings and describing the occasion as the start of a “new season.”
Alonzo posted photos on her Instagram Stories showing herself wearing her wedding and engagement rings while relaxing on a couch. She captioned one post, “New season.”
In another post, Alonzo shared a close-up photo of her wedding band and engagement ring while holding hands with Co. She captioned it, “At my happiest.”
The posts came a week after Alonzo and Co, an executive and heir to retail company Puregold, exchanged vows in a civil wedding officiated by Makati Mayor Nancy Binay.
Earlier, Alonzo also met fellow Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista during a visit to the clinic of celebrity doctor Aivee Teo. The two complimented the actress on her newlywed glow.
Alonzo and Co held a private civil wedding attended only by two close friends. They later celebrated with a reception at a Basque restaurant.
The wedding followed speculation that the couple had ended their relationship after postponing plans for a larger wedding ceremony in Spain, where Alonzo owns a home. Reports linked the postponement to issues involving their prenuptial agreement.
Neither Alonzo nor Co has announced whether they will hold a church wedding or proceed with the previously planned ceremony in Spain.
