MANILA, Philippines — Newlywed actress Bea Alonzo revealed she did her own makeup for her wedding to businessman Vincent Co, saying it made the occasion more personal.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Alonzo shared that she decided to handle her own glam instead of relying on a professional makeup artist.
“I don’t normally do my own makeup for special occasions, but for my wedding day, it just felt more personal,” she wrote.
The actress also thanked makeup artists Ting and Varda for helping her develop her makeup skills over the years, saying she hoped she made them proud.
Alonzo gave a special mention to hairstylist Ayu Manaog, who she said responded to a last-minute request for help, and revealed that she and Co did not hire a wedding photographer. Instead, her friend and business partner, Brina Secosana, documented the ceremony.
Alonzo and Co were married in a civil ceremony at Makati City Hall on July 13, officiated by Makati Mayor Nancy Binay.
The actress publicly confirmed the marriage on Instagram by posting black-and-white photos from the ceremony with the caption, “Home.”
Her legal counsel, Atty. Joey Garcia, also confirmed the wedding and clarified that reports suggesting issues over the couple’s prenuptial agreement were inaccurate, saying both parties voluntarily and properly executed the agreement before their marriage.
