Police in Melbourne are investigating a reported sexual assault from 2010 following allegations made by actress Ruby Rose against pop singer Katy Perry, authorities said on April 15.

Victoria Police said in a statement that officers are investigating a historical sexual assault case but did not identify any individuals involved. The spokesperson said the investigation remains ongoing and declined to provide further details.

Rose previously alleged in social media posts that Perry assaulted her at a nightclub in Melbourne nearly two decades ago. Rose later said she had filed reports with police and would no longer comment publicly on the matter.

A representative for Perry denied the allegations in a statement, calling them false.

Rose is known for her role in Orange Is the New Black. Perry is known for songs including Hot n Cold, Roar and I Kissed a Girl.

Authorities did not announce any charges as of Wednesday.
