MANILA, Philippines — Actress Alex Gonzaga and her husband Mikee Morada announced on Thursday that they are expecting their first child after three previous pregnancy losses.
Gonzaga shared the announcement in an Instagram post on May 21, where she revealed that she is pregnant following nearly six years of marriage and multiple miscarriages.
“After almost 6 years of marriage and 3 heartbreaking losses, we never lost faith and continued to surrender everything to the Lord,” Gonzaga wrote in her caption.
The post included a video compilation showing hospital clips from prior miscarriages and footage of the couple revealing a baby bump and ultrasound images.
Gonzaga said the couple had been preparing for in vitro fertilization (IVF) before she learned she was pregnant naturally. She also thanked supporters who followed their fertility journey.
“By God’s grace, our prayers have been answered, and we are finally going to be mommy and daddy,” she wrote.
The couple asked for continued prayers for a safe pregnancy.
Morada previously disclosed that Gonzaga experienced a third miscarriage in late 2024 due to a blighted ovum, following earlier pregnancy losses in 2021 and 2023.
Gonzaga and Morada were married in 2020 after several years of dating.
