Alas Pilipinas girls earn FIVB Worlds slot after Thai showdown

In Amman, Jordan, the Alas Pilipinas girls’ volleyball team secured a spot in the FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U17 World Championship in Chile after defeating Thailand.

The Filipino team won the match with set scores of 25-23, 25-20, 19-25, and 25-22.

The squad is composed of junior high school players from various programs and provinces across the Philippines, who had only a few weeks to prepare for the competition.

The championship is scheduled for August next year in Chile, and the victory against Thailand guarantees the team’s participation in the international event.
