The Killers will headline the Austin City Limits Festival in October, stepping in after Doja Cat withdrew from the lineup on Friday.

Doja Cat was slated to lead the Sunday sets on October 5 and 12 at the long-running Texas music festival. However, she revealed on social media Friday that preparations for her new album Vie, which drops September 26, left her unable to commit to the shows.

“Unfortunately, I will not be performing at Austin City Limits this year,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “When I made the commitment, I didn’t know exactly when Vie would be released. I’ve been finalizing the album, filming videos, and preparing a campaign I’m really excited about. It’s become clear that I cannot give you the show you deserve within this time frame.”

She expressed gratitude to festival organizers, adding: “Thank you to the ACL team for their support and I hope to see you all again soon when the time is right. I’m forever grateful for the opportunity.”

With The Killers now joining the headliner roster, ACL Festival continues to reshape its lineup ahead of its two-weekend run in Austin.
