Filipino American Susan Ocampo has been named to Forbes’ 2025 list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women, ranking 18th with a net worth of $2 billion.

Forbes’ list, celebrating its 10th year, acknowledges women entrepreneurs, executives, and entertainers who have not only amassed wealth but also made substantial impacts in their fields.

Susan Ocampo, aged 67, resides in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is a prominent figure in the semiconductor industry.

She is best known for her influential role in Macom Technology Solutions, a Nasdaq-listed semiconductor firm, where she is a board member and the largest individual shareholder, owning approximately 15 percent of the company.

Ocampo co-founded Sirenza Microdevices in 1984 with her late husband, John Ocampo.

Sirenza Microdevices initially supplied semiconductors and components, establishing the foundation for the couple’s business endeavors.

In 2008, they launched GaAs Labs, a private investment firm targeting high-tech opportunities, where Susan Ocampo serves as vice president, secretary, and treasurer.

Forbes assigns a “self-made” score to each honoree, and Ocampo received a score of 8, indicating that she built her wealth through significant entrepreneurial effort.

Diane Hendricks, chairperson of ABC Supply, leads the Forbes list with a net worth of $22.3 billion.

Pop superstar and actress Selena Gomez, with an estimated net worth of $700 million, is the youngest newcomer on the list.

The number of women on Forbes’ list has more than doubled since its inception in 2015.

To qualify for Forbes’ 2025 list, individuals needed a minimum net worth of $350 million, up from $250 million a decade ago when the ranking included only 50 women.

Susan Ocampo’s inclusion in Forbes’ list underscores her prominence and success in the tech industry.
