HOUSTON, Texas –Two well-known radio programs in Houston have been canceled within the same week.

One of these programs is the ‘Dean and Rog Morning Show,’ a staple for many, having aired since 2009. Known for its engaging content, humor, and the dynamic chemistry between the hosts, the show has consistently drawn a large audience.

It offered a mix of entertainment, news, and listener interaction, becoming a daily companion for many Houstonians on their morning commute.

The show’s cancellation marks the end of a 14-year run on the airwaves. The hosts have expressed their gratitude to the audience for their support over the years, acknowledging the impact the show has had on their lives.

The end of the ‘Dean and Rog Morning Show’ coincides with the cancellation of another popular program, adding to the surprise and concern among local radio fans.

On Friday, The Morning Bullpen team on 100.3, featuring co-hosts George Lindsey, Monica “Mo” Lunsford, and Erik Scott, teamed up with George Mo and Erik for a memorable broadcast. During the show, The Bull KILT Houston officially signed off. The program, originally called The Morning Bull, first launched in March 2015.

While the reasons for the cancellation remain unclear, the move has sparked discussions about the evolving radio industry.

Changes in listener habits, increased competition from digital platforms, and shifts in advertising revenue are factors that have influenced the industry in recent years.

This simultaneous cancellation of two prominent shows in the same week has led to speculation about broader changes within the radio station and its programming strategy.
