Filipino-American singer Jessica Sanchez and powerhouse vocalist Morissette Amon have teamed up for a new duet titled “Stronger than Before,” a song centered on resilience, healing, and reclaiming personal strength after hardship.
Released on May 1, the track was written by Jessica alongside Rodney Jason and reflects themes of emotional recovery—specifically the idea of “rising again” after being knocked down by life’s struggles. Jessica has described it as deeply personal, saying it mirrors her own journey in both life and career.
Recorded in Jessica’s home studio in Texas, the collaboration allowed both artists to work closely and focus on blending their vocal styles rather than competing with each other. The result, according to Jessica, was a natural and balanced pairing that emphasized emotion over vocal showmanship, even though both are known for strong, technically powerful voices.
Jessica also shared that she has long admired Morissette’s emotional intensity and vocal strength, making the collaboration a long-time dream realized. Morissette, in turn, contributed to shaping the song’s emotional delivery, with both singers reportedly sharing moments in the studio where they felt the performance captured something special.
Morissette is also set to appear as a guest in Jessica’s upcoming concert at the Araneta Coliseum on May 16, which will feature a lineup of major Filipino artists including Darren Espanto, James Reid, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez, and Vice Ganda.
