U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday expressed dissatisfaction with Russia’s latest military actions in Ukraine, which involved the largest drone and missile assault to date in the ongoing conflict.
Trump made these remarks following a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, where he claimed Russia seeks to continue its aggressive military strategy.
He suggested that sanctions on Russia might be implemented in response to the situation.
The assault, which took place amid the three-year conflict, reportedly involved significant destruction and loss as drones and missiles targeted various locations within Ukraine.
Trump also discussed the need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The recent escalation has prompted international reactions, with various countries condemning the attack and considering measures to support Ukraine.
