Batangas City, Philippines — Nxled pulled off a stunning five-set victory over defending champions Petro Gazz during the PVL on Tour on Saturday evening at the Batangas City Sports Center.
Rookie standout Lyann de Guzman powered Nxled with 21 points, setting a new record for a rookie debut performance. De Guzman, the team’s fourth overall pick in the league draft, led her squad to a 25-23, 19-25, 19-25, 25-15, 15-10 win.
