MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Olympic Committee said 101 Filipino athletes will compete in the 6th Asian Beach Games scheduled from April 22 to 30 in Sanya, China.
POC president Abraham Tolentino said preparations for the Philippine delegation have been completed, with athletes set for both the opening and closing ceremonies of the continental competition.
Tolentino said the Philippines is also preparing for the handover of hosting rights for the 2028 Asian Beach Games during the closing ceremony in Sanya, where the event flag will be turned over to representatives of Cebu, the designated host for the next edition.
The delegation is supported by the Philippine Olympic Committee and the Philippine Sports Commission.
Jiu-jitsu athletes Annie Ramirez and Kaila Napolis will lead the Philippine campaign in the competition.
