MANILA, Philippines — Actress Xyriel Manabat said she plans to take action against a Transport Network Vehicle Services (TNVS) driver who allegedly posted lewd remarks alongside a selfie with her online.
The post, made by a Facebook account named “Boss Toyo Mansi,” contained crude comments about Manabat’s appearance. The account is now inactive, but screenshots of the post have circulated on social media.
Speaking at a media junket for her upcoming Netflix film, 18 Roses, Manabat said she had initially been courteous to the driver and expressed dismay upon seeing the viral post. She emphasized her commitment to defending women and other victims of harassment.
The TNVS company confirmed it is investigating the incident. In a statement on X, the company said it practices zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior and has invited the driver for a full investigation.
The company issued an apology to Manabat, confirmed the driver has been placed under preventive suspension, and stated that the behavior violated its guidelines. It also announced a review of driver conduct protocols, including post-trip behavior, and said additional safeguards will be implemented.
